George Ezra - New Orleans
October 7, 2015
So we headed off to New Orleans for the day! Our first stop was in Hattiesburg, to see our friend Mikaela and stop by T.Bones Record shop. We hung out, drank coffee, and goofed around until Mikaela had to go back to work, then we were back on the road to NOLA.
Alas! We arrived in the City of New Orleans.
We spent the afternoon walking around the city and seeing what all it had to offer. Sunsets, cathedrals, beignets, hippies, trolleys, just to name a few. We headed back to the Civic theater, to get in line for the George Ezra show.
Andrew Duhon was the opening act and dude, he was amazing! We totally went to meet him afterwards and I think he was pretty excited Clay was the only guy who came to talk to him (there were so many girls everywhere, you have no idea).
Ezra proved to be just as amazing live. He told stories between the songs, about how the song came to be, or just the story behind it in general. It was a lovely show!
Then of course, we drove all night to get back to Columbus to take exams the next morning.
